“An oil well is a boring in the Earth that is designed to bring petroleum oil hydrocarbons to the surface”. Wikipedia

Yet, there are other untapped Oil Well that many are not away off. One of those untapped Oil well is BEEKEEPING.

What is Beekeeping?

There is so much more one could say, but sometimes it is good to be brief. After all, attention spans of humans are getting shorter.

“Beekeeping (or apiculture) is the maintenance of honey bee colonies, commonly in man-made hives, by humans. A beekeeper (or apiarist) keeps bees in order to collect their honey and other products that the hive produces (including beeswax, propolis, flower pollen, bee pollen, and royal jelly), to pollinate crops, or to produce bees for sale to other beekeepers. A location where bees are kept is called an apiary or “bee yard.” Wikipedia

Beekeeping is valued for honey, Propolis, Pollen, Venom, Royal jelly, beeswax production and Food Crops pollination to generate income and medicines; it gives some of the world’s poorest people the opportunity to harvest commodities of International quality and value.

Issues currently facing our world include poverty, climate change, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, water shortages, pollution and urban sprawl and these often have the greatest negative impact on the most vulnerable people.

While beekeeping cannot cure these problems, it offers an environmentally beneficial activity that helps people to fight against them. Join me and preserve Bees!
